Well not really, but many people who first see kitesurfers in Hawaii getting huge air are as astonished as if they had just seen a alien land on the beach. Many people visiting Hawaii have never seen kitesurfing before and are amazed to see people flying over waves. Kitesurfing is a relatively new sport in Hawaii and is starting to really get popular. Many kitesurfers are some of Hawaii's top watermen who are taking to the new way of approaching wave riding. Kitesurfing lessons are available throughout Hawaii, but be advised that kitesurfing has a big learning curve(in spite of what some instructors might say) and you wont be able to learn it in one day. Nevertheless it is very thrilling and worth the effort to learn. Also be advised that kitesurfing is extremely dangerous especially in Hawaii where the winds and waves can pick up in minutes.
