Most people think that the only way to see the famous Napali Coast on Kauai is by helicopter, boat or hiking, well that is true for the most part but there is another way. One way to see one of the most famous valleys of the Napali Coast is to drive up to Kokee to the Kalalau lookout. You will be rewarded with this incredible view as if you were in a helicopter looking down into Kalalau Valley. True you can not see the entire Napali Coast like you can from a helicopter or a boat but it is one way to see a little bit for free.
Aloha- As a former resident and frequent visitor I have had the opportunity to visit the Kalalau lookout several times, Incredible!!! I am now preparing to Kayak the Na Pali Coast this summer to celebrate my 40th birthday. Have a group of friends flying in from all across the country to come with me...any chance anyone who has made the trip already has their pictures posted on the web? I am looking for some good info to send my friends and motivate them (most of them live in the snowbelt and are very cold right now)!
